Pepsi Next: Coke Poke

"I got a call on a Friday evening asking if I’d be interested in directing an online ad for Pepsi using characters from Coca-Cola’s “Coke Chase” Super Bowl ad campaign, which they had just teased (this was a week before the Super Bowl). It was a rough idea, and they wanted to shoot by Wednesday so we could finish it in time for the game. A week later, we ended up with the video above, and it’s really a testament to our great creative team that we were able to pull it off in such a short amount of time and have it turn out so well. The spot ended up being a lot of fun to shoot, I was able to cast several of my comedian friends as the lead characters, and they brought some humor to what easily could have been a pretty dry concept. All in all, a fun week, and I’m very happy with the end result."
